Here is the honest version, because you deserve to make this decision with the facts.
What we do
- We run our own dedicated hardware, which we control end to end.
- Every account runs in its own enforced resource slice: its own CPU ceiling, its own hard memory cap, its own disk share, its own process cap and disk quota. A neighbour cannot take your resources. This is enforced, not promised, and it is the single most common cause of mysterious slowness on hosting that does not do it.
- Automatic backups, held for 7 to 30 days depending on your plan, with a full copy downloadable by you at any time.
- A global CDN across 119 edge locations, which absorbs traffic and keeps serving your assets from near your visitors.
- Monitoring, and support that answers a site-down report as fast as humanly possible, at any hour.
What we do not do
We run our own hardware in a single location. We do not offer automatic multi-region failover. If our location has a serious problem, your site is affected until it is resolved.
We are telling you this plainly rather than burying it, because the alternative is that you find out at the worst possible moment.
Who that is fine for
The overwhelming majority of small and medium businesses. A business website, a shop, a booking system, an application serving a national or regional customer base. The realistic risks to these sites are a bad plugin update, a full disk, an expired domain and a noisy neighbour, and we address all four of those directly.
Who should buy something else
If your business genuinely cannot tolerate a regional outage, if you have a contractual uptime obligation to your own customers that requires geographic redundancy, or if you serve a global audience that needs to be served from multiple regions, then you should buy a multi-region platform. That is a different product, it costs considerably more, and it is the right answer for those needs. We would rather tell you that than sell you something that does not fit.
