The short version
We collect what we need to run your hosting and bill you for it. Nothing else.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not mine the content of your websites, your databases or your email.

8Deploy is a hosting service operated by WeActive8. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. Write to [email protected] about anything here.
2. What we collect, and why

3. Your website content is yours
Your files, your databases and your mailboxes are your data, not ours. We store and serve them so that your sites work. We do not read them, analyse them, train anything on them, or sell them. Our staff access them only when you ask us to help with something, or when we have to act on a security incident.
4. Your visitors
When someone visits a site you host with us, our servers log the request. If you set cookies or run analytics on your own site, that is your responsibility, not ours, and you are the controller of that data. We are your processor for it.
5. Who we share it with
Only the companies we need to run the service, and only what they need:
- Our payment processor, to take payment.
- Our content delivery network, to serve your site quickly around the world.
- Our email provider, to send you service and billing messages.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
6. How long we keep it
Account and hosting data follows our Data Retention Policy: kept while your account is live, then 30 days after suspension or closure, then permanently deleted.
We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires. Those contain no website content, no database content and no email content.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to how we use it. If you are in the UK or the EU, you can complain to your data protection authority.

8. Security
Traffic to your sites and to your control panel is encrypted. Passwords are hashed, never stored in a form we could read. Every hosting account runs in its own isolated slice of the machine, so one customer cannot reach another's data.
9. Where your data lives
Your websites, databases and mailboxes are stored on hardware we own and operate in Europe. Our content delivery network caches your public site content at locations worldwide, which is what makes it fast.
10. Changes
If we change this in a way that matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect.
